Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy at Insight Psychological Services

You don’t have to figure it out alone anymore.

For Adults

Life has a way of piling up. Have you been pushing through for years, balancing responsibilities, managing stress, and keeping  it all together? However, lately it feels like your usual coping strategies just aren’t working anymore.

Maybe you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted. Are you stuck in patterns that no longer serve you? You may even not recognize yourself right now.

Seeking therapy isn’t a sign of weakness. Choosing therapy now is a sign that you’re ready for something different. We’re here to help whether you’re: navigating a major life transition, healing from old wounds, or simply trying to reconnect with who you are. Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and build new tools to carry you forward with clarity and strength.

For Children & Their Parents

You used to understand your child. As a parent, you used to understand what made them laugh. Your child knew you could soothe their fears. Additionally, you knew how to guide their behavior. But now, things feel different. You may be facing emotional outbursts, anxiety, shutdowns, or behavior that seems to come out of nowhere. Parents find themselves wondering, “What happened?” or “Why won’t they listen anymore?” As a result, you may feel like you’re going a little insane.

We at Insight Psychological Services help parents and children reconnect. Through individual therapy with your child and collaborative support for you as a parent, we work together to understand the root of the behaviors.  We further rebuild the lines of communication between you and your child. Whether your child is dealing with anxiety, attention challenges, big emotions, or struggles at school or home, we are here. We provide a safe space for healing, growth, and renewed connection.

For Teens

Being a teenager is hard and so is parenting one. As teens try to find their independence, they often feel misunderstood, isolated, or overwhelmed by emotions they can’t quite explain. You may be noticing your teen pulling away. Meanwhile, they’re struggling in school, battling anxiety or depression, or caught in a whirlwind of mood swings and self-doubt.

Therapy gives teens a space of their own to talk. Also, it gives them a space to process their thoughts and emotions. Further, therapy gives teens a place to develop healthier ways to cope with the pressures of school, social media, friendships, identity, and more. We help teens build emotional resilience, confidence, and insight. Additionally, we support parents in understanding and responding to their teen’s needs in a way that promotes connection, not conflict.
